Our normal practical meetings are held at Goonhilly Earth Station weekly on Thursdays, starting at around 13:30 to 17:30, but attendance can be any time convenient during that period. However special events to support Education can depend on the week's timetable allocation.
(We were also considering monthly meetings on Saturdays so that normally working people could come along, but they will be held only if some attendance requests have been made a week prior to the meeting. - currently on hold)
TO ATTEND OUR MEETINGS
Anyone interested is welcome to come to our afternoons and join in. However, the site is a Controlled Access site, so intended attendees MUST have their name on an attendance list given to the Gatehouse prior to arrival. Because of this our Secretary, Des, must be notified (on the email address below) at least two days in advance, so that we can add you to our list of expected attendees.
Attendance must also now be agreed by our Goonhilly Earth Station Ltd interface to authorise the Gatehouse Security. If you are not expected, you will not be allowed on site.
GHS members and authorised Visitors can only attend if the Secretary or Chairman of our Society are present for Safety & Security reasons.
No electrical equipment can be powered up unless at least two qualified members of the Society are present.
